Everything You Need to Know
It’s natural to have lots of questions when you’re considering sending your child to the Northman camp. To help make the process as easy as possible, we’ve provided a list of some of the most common questions we receive below.
1.) Will tackling or contact be permitted at Camp?
Yes, our camp will have position specific contact.
2.) What if the player is new to American football?
Prior experience is not required. We invite all skill levels to participate.
3.) What if the player does not have cleats?
Cleats are recommended but not required.
4.) Can parents stay and watch during the Camp?
Yes, parents are more than welcome to stay and watch their child.
5.) Where will the Camp be conducted?
The Camp will be conducted on outside fields. Please have players prepared for inclement weather conditions as the Camp will run rain or shine.
6.) How many practice sessions are held during the Camp?
There will be 2 practice sessions per full day of Camp.
7.) What can Campers expect to learn at Camp?
Campers will practice and improve their skills in a variety of ways. Led by exceptional coaches, campers are divided into groups by their position, and will learn position skills and practice drills. Campers will be educated on the fundamentals of football, the importance of training and education and the tools necessary to compete at a high school, collegiate and professional level.
8.) Will there be food provided or does my child need to pack a lunch?
Lunch is not provided for each full day of Camp. There is a lunch plan available for purchase.
9.) What if player has allergies? (i.e. medication, food)
Allergies and medication must be indicated on player's registration form completed during ticket purchase. Campers with dietary restrictions are advised to bring their own lunches as cross contamination cannot be guaranteed.
10.) What will the player need to provide?
The camper will need all their football equipment and Northman jersey. A jersey can be purchased during the registration process
11.) Is this an overnight Camp?
No, the Camp is designed as a “drop-off style camp” with the option to have parents and spectators watch throughout the day’s activities. The Camp has negotiated rates at nearby hotels for those attending from outside the Camps area.
12.) Who will be teaching at the Camp?
The coaches will be a combination of American High School and College coaches as well as top level european coaches.
13.) What if a player needs to cancel once they have registered?
Cancellations made 60 days before the start of camp are eligible for a 75% refund. Cancellations made with less than 60 days until the start of camp will not be refunded but might be eligible for a voucher or a discount for next year’s camp if appropriate reasoning can be supplied.
